Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho might be about to play a surprising role… in helping Liverpool!
Yes, you read that right.
Liverpool have their eyes set on Florian Wirtz, the talented playmaker from Bayer Leverkusen.
He’s been amazing in the Bundesliga, and the Reds believe he could take their team to the next level.
They even offered a whopping £113 million for him — but Leverkusen said no.
So what does Garnacho have to do with this?
Well, Garnacho has had a rocky time at Manchester United lately.
He clashed with manager Ruben Amorim, especially after the Europa League final, and now it looks like he’s leaving Old Trafford.
Several clubs want him, including Napoli, a few Premier League teams, and… Bayer Leverkusen.
And here’s where things get interesting.
Leverkusen might be willing to sell Wirtz to Liverpool — but they’ll need the money fast so they can sign someone big.
Garnacho could be that someone.
If Leverkusen buy Garnacho using the money they get from selling Wirtz, it’s a win-win:
Liverpool get Wirtz, and Leverkusen get a new star in Garnacho.
But it’s not so simple.
Leverkusen aren’t just chasing Garnacho. They’re also interested in James McAtee from Manchester City.
And Garnacho has lots of other options too.
So Leverkusen will have to move quickly and offer a great deal if they want to convince him.
For now, all eyes are on this exciting transfer chain. If Garnacho goes to Germany, Wirtz might just be walking into Anfield next.
