Gyökeres’ agents told Sporting and Amorim that Manchester United is no longer an option.

Big football news! Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres has made a huge decision about his future.
According to trusted reports from Portugal, he has officially turned down an offer to join Manchester United.
Instead, it looks like he wants to play for Arsenal!
What’s Going On?
Gyökeres currently plays for Sporting, a top football club in Portugal. He’s had a great season, so many big clubs want to sign him.
Manchester United showed strong interest, especially since their former Sporting coach Ruben Amorim is still there.
But despite that connection, Gyökeres is not interested in going to Old Trafford.
Instead, Arsenal is now in the lead to sign him.
How Much Would the Transfer Cost?
Sporting, Gyökeres’ current club, wants at least €70 million (about £59.6 million) to even start negotiations. That’s a lot of money!
Manchester United has already spent £62.5 million on another player, Matheus Cunha, and are also hoping to sign Bryan Mbeumo, who could cost even more.
So, United might not have enough left to spend on Gyökeres.
That’s why Arsenal now seems like the front-runner.
Arsenal’s Bid
Arsenal already made one offer for Gyökeres: €55 million plus €10 million in add-ons (extra payments based on performance).
Sporting said no to that first bid, but Arsenal is preparing a second offer to try again.
Gyökeres likes the idea of joining Arsenal more than playing for Manchester United, so the deal may happen soon.

According to the Portuguese newspaper Record, Gyökeres’ agents (the people who help with his career decisions) told Sporting and Amorim that Manchester United is no longer an option.
“The footballer’s agents have officially told Ruben Amorim’s club that he is no longer an option for the striker,” Record wrote.
“United made several contacts over the last week, as we wrote, but with Arsenal’s advance, this possibility lost strength and, in the last few hours, it has fallen away completely.”
They also mentioned that, even though United contacted them several times recently, Gyökeres was never fully convinced.
