Liverpool sit comfortably atop the Premier League with a six-point cushion over their nearest rivals.
But as the race for the title heats up, former Reds striker John Aldridge believes the biggest challenge isn’t coming from another team—it’s within the squad itself.
“It’s not about Arsenal, Man City, or anyone else—it’s about Liverpool,” Aldridge told Liverpool Echo. “If we stay focused and keep improving, we’ll be there at the end.”
The team’s latest victory, a 2-0 win over Bournemouth, further solidified their dominance this season.
Arne Slot, in his debut season at the helm, has instilled a relentless mindset in his squad. “Every game is a battle, and we fight until the last second to get the result,” Slot emphasized.
With key fixtures ahead, Liverpool’s biggest test may not be an opponent but their ability to maintain momentum. The fate of the title is in their hands.
If they win their game in hand and take care of business with Arsenal at Anfield, the Premier League crown could be theirs to lose.
Will they rise to the occasion, or will the pressure of the title race take its toll?
