Manchester United have no plans to sell captain Bruno Fernandes this summer despite growing interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, sources tell GiveMeSport.

The Portuguese midfielder, who joined United from Sporting CP in January 2020 for an initial £47 million, remains a crucial part of the club’s future plans.

While Al-Hilal have already offered Fernandes a lucrative three-year deal, Manchester United are expected to reject any formal bids for their star player.

Al-Hilal Target Fernandes Ahead of Club World Cup

Al-Hilal are pushing hard to land Fernandes before the FIFA Club World Cup.

According to GiveMeSport’s Ben Jacobs, the Saudi club has made Fernandes one of their top transfer targets and is prepared to be aggressive in negotiations over the next 10 days.

They’ve offered him a non-binding contract,” Jacobs revealed. “But Manchester United’s stance hasn’t changed — they don’t want to lose him, regardless of the Europa League final result.”

Fernandes Remains Central to Manchester United’s Plans

Although United recently lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final, new manager Ruben Amorim still views Fernandes as a key figure for the club’s rebuild.

The 29-year-old playmaker is currently under contract until 2026, with performance-related bonuses potentially pushing his weekly earnings to £375,000.

United are reportedly unwilling to cash in, even if Al-Hilal make a big-money offer.

Club insiders insist Fernandes will not be sold unless absolutely necessary.
