Brazilian Team Doctor Provides Update
Brazil’s team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, addressed concerns after the match, confirming that Alisson was replaced as a precaution following the head injury.
“Alisson suffered a head injury and was replaced due to a suspected concussion. We will now follow the CBF protocol, and he will undergo the recommended tests,” Lasmar stated.
Fortunately, the Liverpool shot-stopper showed no signs of serious trauma.
“He is normal, without any complaints. He did not report any fainting or memory loss.“
What It Means for Liverpool
With Alisson ruled out of Brazil’s upcoming qualifier against Argentina, his focus will shift to recovery under Liverpool’s medical team.
Liverpool will be hopeful that their first-choice keeper is fit in time for their Premier League return on April 2, where they take on Everton at Anfield in a crucial Merseyside derby.
With nine games left in the season, Arne Slot’s Liverpool sit 12 points clear at the top of the table, aiming to secure another league title.
