Chelsea head to Poland to face Legia Warsaw in the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League quarter-finals, with the Blues looking to maintain their perfect run in the competition and take a big step toward making history.
Blues Aiming for European Treble
Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea side are on the cusp of a rare achievement: winning all three of UEFA’s major club competitions.
Having lifted the Champions League and Europa League in the past, the Blues could become the first club to add the Conference League to complete the set.
Chelsea have lived up to their favourites tag so far—storming through the group stage with a flawless record and cruising past FC Copenhagen in the last 16.

With a favourable path to the final, avoiding other major European clubs until the very end, they’re tipped to lift the trophy in Wroclaw.
Cracks Beneath the Surface
Despite their dominant European form, Chelsea’s domestic displays have raised some eyebrows.
A string of low-scoring games—three 1-0 wins, a 1-0 loss, and a goalless draw with Brentford—has exposed their attacking struggles.
Their only away win in 2025 came in Europe, and they remain winless on the road in the Premier League this year.
Legia’s Capital Fortress
Legia Warsaw are no strangers to European nights and will be confident on home soil.
Goncalo Feio’s men have lost just once at home since mid-September, and that defeat came in the Conference League against Lugano. Since then, Legia have been on a steady rise.

They edged through the group stage, stuttered late on, but bounced back impressively—knocking out Molde after extra time in the last 16 and recently thrashing Ruch Chorzow 5-0 to reach the Polish Cup final.
Another win last weekend has boosted their domestic European hopes, and they remain the Ekstraklasa’s top scorers with 50 goals.
A Clash of Contrasts
Chelsea’s defensive solidity will be put to the test against Legia’s free-scoring attack.
The Polish side have shown their scoring ability with convincing wins over TSC, Dinamo Minsk, and Omonia Nicosia earlier in the campaign.
