Manchester City has made a deal to sign Tijjani Reijnders, a midfielder from AC Milan. The deal is worth 55 million euros (£46.3 million).

Reijnders is 26 years old and plays for the Netherlands national team. He will sign a five-year contract with City, once he passes his medical tests.

City hopes to complete the signing before the Club World Cup, which starts on June 14 in the United States.

Manchester City is short on midfield players. Mateo Kovacic is out due to Achilles surgery.

Kevin De Bruyne may also miss the tournament. He is expected to join Napoli, the champions of Italy’s Serie A.

Who Is Tijjani Reijnders?

Reijnders has played 22 times for the Netherlands.

He joined AC Milan in 2023 from AZ Alkmaar.
