Tottenham’s Story
Tottenham hasn’t won a major trophy in 17 years. But now, they have a big chance to bring home some silverware.
They’ve won this tournament before, back when it was called the UEFA Cup — in 1972 and 1984.
Led by their coach Ange Postecoglou, who is known for winning trophies in his second year at any club, Spurs have made it all the way to the final after beating teams like AZ Alkmaar, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Bodo/Glimt.
Striker Dominic Solanke helped a lot by scoring in both legs of the semi-final.
While they’ve done great in Europe — winning 9 out of 14 matches — things haven’t gone so well in the Premier League.
They’re currently 17th and have lost 21 times this season. But there’s hope.
Tottenham has beaten Manchester United three times already this season, including a 3-0 win at Old Trafford.
Manchester United’s Journey
Man United also needs a win to brighten their season.
Their best moment in Europe came in 2017, when they won the Europa League. This year, they’ve had a wild ride to the final.
They beat Athletic Bilbao in the semi-finals with big wins: 3-0 away and 4-1 at home.
Before that, they survived an exciting quarter-final against Lyon, winning 7-6 on aggregate thanks to a last-minute goal by Harry Maguire.
So far, United has scored 35 goals in the Europa League this season — one of the highest tallies ever in the tournament.
Head-to-Head This Season
Tottenham have had the upper hand:
- 3-0 win at Old Trafford
- 4-3 win in the EFL Cup
- 1-0 win at home
Man United haven’t beaten Spurs in their last six meetings.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Man United (After Extra Time)
This match could go either way, but we think Manchester United will win it in extra time.
Both teams want to end their season with a trophy, but United’s attack might just give them the edge.
Do you know?
If Manchester United win, they’ll become one of only a few teams to win the Europa League without losing a single game!
Final Thoughts
This is a big moment for both clubs. Tottenham wants to win their first European title in over 40 years, while Manchester United is aiming for another Europa League trophy.
