Tottenham have officially signed Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United in a deal worth £55 million.

The move is still subject to a work permit, but Kudus has already agreed to a six-year contract that runs until 2031.

A Rising Star with Premier League Power

Kudus, 24, joined West Ham in 2023 from Ajax and quickly became one of their key players.

In the Premier League, he played 65 matches, scoring 13 goals and providing 9 assists.

He had a brilliant first season, scoring 14 goals in all competitions and showing his creativity and pace in midfield.

West Ham had inserted a hefty £85 million release clause, but after rejecting Spurs’ initial £50m offer, they accepted a slightly improved bid.

Kudus Speaks: “A Dream Come True”

Speaking on Tottenham’s official channels, Kudus said:

“I’ve always wanted to play at the highest level. Spurs are a big club with history and now they’re back in the Champions League. I’m very happy and can’t wait to get started.”

He also praised new manager Thomas Frank, saying:

From where [Frank] has come from, and seeing the amount of talent he has developed to become great players, it’s a big sign as to why I wanted to work under him as well.”

Spurs Still Spending Big

Kudus might not be the only new face at Spurs this week.

Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White is also close to joining the club in a £60 million move, with a medical already scheduled.

Together, that would take Tottenham’s spending to £115 million in just 24 hours—a bold move under the new direction of Thomas Frank, who took over from Ange Postecoglou last month.
