Imagine someone who’s always smiling, full of energy, and lightning-fast on the football pitch. That’s Jeremie Frimpong – and now, he’s officially a Liverpool player!

Frimpong just made a big move from Bayer Leverkusen in Germany to join one of the world’s biggest clubs, Liverpool, for £29.5 million.

But who is this fun-loving footballer?

🌍 From Amsterdam to Manchester to the World

Jeremie was born in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands.

He’s one of seven children! When he was just seven years old, his family moved to Manchester in England.

That’s where his football journey really began.

He played for local teams like AFC Clayton and Clayton Villa, showing amazing skill even at a young age.

Soon, scouts from Manchester City noticed him, and he joined their academy.

Even though he didn’t get to play for the City senior team, he trained with top young players like Jadon Sancho and learned a lot.

🍀 Celtic Breakthrough

At age 18, Jeremie made a big decision – he left Manchester City to join Celtic in Scotland.

Even though he was new and young, it didn’t take long before fans and coaches saw how talented he was.

In one of his first big games – the Scottish League Cup final against Rangers – he got a red card!

But he bounced back and became one of the team’s most important players.

🇩🇪 A Star in Germany

After about a year at Celtic, Frimpong moved to Bayer Leverkusen in Germany for around £10 million. There, he really shined.

In the 2023-24 season, he helped Leverkusen win both the league and the cup – a huge achievement in German football!

He became famous for his speed, fun goal celebrations, and friendly interviews.

One time after a match, he complimented a reporter’s pink jacket live on TV!

🏃‍♂️ Super Speed and Skills

So, what makes Frimpong special? For starters, he’s incredibly fast. Last season in the Bundesliga, he did:

  • Over 1,000 sprints
  • More than 2,000 intense runs
  • Reached speeds of 36.34 km/h
  • Scored 23 goals in 133 league matches

He mostly plays as a right-sided defender or wing-back, but he’s very attack-minded. He loves running forward, creating chances, and scoring goals.

Some experts even say he’s better at attacking than defending – but that’s okay because his style fits modern football perfectly.

❤️ Fun Personality, Serious Talent

Don’t let the fun side fool you – Jeremie is serious about football. He’s known for being hardworking, respectful, and determined.

Former coaches say he’s one of the best young players they’ve worked with. He also loves helping others.

During a break, he visited an orphanage in Ghana (his parents’ home country), bringing food and spending time with the kids.

Even though many of the children didn’t know who he was, they ran up to him with joy.

They were so full of happiness,” he said. “We played football together and just had fun.”

With stars like Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, and Ryan Gravenberch already at the club, Jeremie will feel right at home.

Some people say another young player, Conor Bradley, might be Liverpool’s starting right-back.

But Frimpong’s arrival means there will be strong competition – and that’s great for the team.

Football expert Chris Sutton says, “Frimpong is fast, dangerous in 1-on-1s, and a real attacking threat. He’s ready for the Premier League.”

🏆 Titles, Talent & Twi

Frimpong already has two league titles: one with Celtic and one with Leverkusen.

He also speaks English and Twi (a Ghanaian language), and he’s still learning Dutch.

He’s only 24 years old but already a role model for many young players.
