Chelsea star Cole Palmer was spotted running away from Stamford Bridge after his team’s 1-0 victory against Everton on Ssturday — and now the reason behind the unusual sight has been revealed.

Palmer played the full 90 minutes as Nicolas Jackson’s first-half goal kept Chelsea’s hopes of securing a top-five Premier League finish alive.

However, it marked another league match where Palmer failed to score, extending his personal goal drought since January’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Despite recording 14 goals and nine assists this season, a drop from last season’s 27 goals and 15 assists has raised concerns among supporters.

After the final whistle, a video shared by @H4mza16 on X (formerly Twitter) showed Palmer running through crowds outside Stamford Bridge, wearing a black hoodie with the hood up and speaking on the phone.

The footage left many fans puzzled, with some speculating that he had missed the team bus.

However, according to journalist Matt Debono, Palmer’s dash had a much simpler explanation: he was running to collect a new pair of trainers from a nearby petrol station.

After the match, he met Leon Gissing — a supplier of clothes and accessories for footballers — and even exchanged a signed Chelsea shirt.

Meanwhile, despite a dip in form, Palmer continues to attract attention from top clubs.
