Liverpool fans eager to see their team back in action will have to wait a little longer, as the Reds are not scheduled to play this weekend despite the conclusion of the international break.
Before the break, Liverpool suffered a tough spell, being eliminated from the Champions League by PSG on penalties and losing the Carabao Cup final 2-1 to Newcastle United.
Since then, head coach Arne Slot has had time to regroup and prepare his squad for the crucial Premier League title run-in.
However, domestic action will have to wait due to the FA Cup quarter-finals taking place this weekend.
FA Cup Fixtures Cause Delay
Liverpool’s absence from this weekend’s fixtures is due to their early exit from the FA Cup.
In February, the Reds were knocked out of the competition following a shocking 1-0 defeat to Championship side Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.
Plymouth’s journey ended in the following round when they lost to Manchester City.
As the FA Cup quarter-finals feature mostly Premier League teams, the league does not schedule matches during this time.

This season is no exception, with Preston North End being the only non-Premier League side left in the competition.
Merseyside Derby Up Next
To compensate for the break, the Premier League will resume with a round of midweek fixtures.
Liverpool will return to action on Wednesday night, hosting Everton in a highly anticipated Merseyside derby.
This match will be crucial for both sides as they push for their respective season objectives.
Potential Fixture Disruptions Ahead
Further changes to Liverpool’s schedule could arise depending on FA Cup results.
Although their match against Leicester City will proceed during the FA Cup semi-final weekend in late April, their penultimate game against Brighton and Hove Albion could be rescheduled if Brighton reach the final.
