Whether it was Cole Palmer’s brilliance or Trump’s unexpected cameo, this final had everything.

Chelsea just pulled off one of their biggest wins in recent history — a 3-0 demolition of Paris Saint-Germain to lift the newly revamped FIFA Club World Cup.

But as the players lined up to receive their medals and lift the trophy, things got… weird.

Standing next to FIFA President Gianni Infantino was none other than Donald Trump — yes, that Donald Trump — who decided not only to present the trophy but also to hang around awkwardly while the Blues tried to celebrate.

Captain Reece James, who accepted the trophy, was clearly caught off guard. “Honestly, it was so loud, I couldn’t really hear what he said,” James laughed. “He just congratulated us and told us to enjoy the moment.”

Fair enough — except he didn’t leave.

Cole Palmer, Chelsea’s man of the match with two goals and an assist, looked visibly puzzled in the moment.

“I knew he was going to be at the game,” he said, “but I didn’t think he’d be up there with us when we were lifting the trophy. It was confusing, yeah.”

Defender Levi Colwill summed it up best: “We were told he’d hand the trophy over and then step off the stage. But he stayed. So, we just had to celebrate around him.”

The scene was surreal.

Booing echoed around the stadium — not from Chelsea fans, but likely from those who didn’t expect politics to gatecrash the celebration.

Many in the crowd were supporters from England and France, and they weren’t shy about showing how they felt.

To make things even more bizarre, Trump’s appearance came on the anniversary of the 2024 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt.

It was a charged moment — both politically and emotionally.

Still, the spotlight belonged to Chelsea.

Enzo Maresca’s side made history, not just for beating the star-studded PSG squad, but for becoming the first-ever champions of the new Club World Cup format.

It was a night to remember for Chelsea fans — not just for the win, but for a celebration they won’t forget anytime soon.
