“You need the news to put a like on social media, or rant for the news. I understand but there’s a lot of fake news around my name.”
Ederson, who is 31 years old, joined Manchester City in 2017 from Benfica for £35 million.
He is now in the last year of his contract with the club.
Last year, there were rumors he might go to Saudi Arabia, and Ederson confirmed he had received a big offer.
But now, he says he is focused on staying with Man City.
“My head is here,” said Ederson. “It stays with the city. It gives me everything to go back to the Premier League again and try to win the Champions League as well.
“My mind is staying in the club.”
Ederson has had a very successful time at Manchester City. He has helped the team win:
- 6 Premier League titles
- 2 FA Cups
- 1 Champions League trophy
Right now, he’s in the United States with the Man City squad for the Club World Cup.
Meanwhile, reports say that Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa might be coming to Manchester City.
His contract has a £64 million release clause, meaning any club can sign him for that amount.
When asked about Ederson’s future, Man City manager Pep Guardiola said:
“I don’t know.” I am so pleased what I am seeing in the training sessions and he is with us.
