Monday night under the lights at St. James’ Park… you already know it’s going to be loud, fiery, and hostile.

Newcastle fans don’t play when the Reds come to town.

And for us Liverpool fans, this one’s about showing everyone that last season’s title wasn’t a fluke—we’re here to defend it.

The lads came from behind to smash Bournemouth 4–2 in the opener.

It wasn’t perfect, but it reminded us that even if we stumble, we’ve got the firepower to burn teams.

Now the question is: can we handle the heat of Tyneside?

The Drama

Oh, and let’s not forget the spice. Alexander Isak—their main man—basically wants to wear red.

The guy’s been training away from the squad and won’t play. Newcastle fans hate it, we love it.

Imagine the chaos if he ends up at Anfield later this season. But for now, that’s one less headache for Arne Slot.

Still, St. James’ Park is no picnic.

Newcastle will fight, and the crowd will try to push them over the line.

Our Boys (Liverpool)

  • Frimpong is touch and go with his hamstring. If he doesn’t make it, we’ll see Gomez or even Endo plugging that gap at right-back. Not ideal, but we move.
  • Gravenberch is back, which is a boost. He can slot in with Mac Allister and Szobo in midfield.
  • Up top? Salah. Díaz. Núñez. Enough said.

The Toon (Newcastle)

  • Isak’s out, no surprise. They’ll probably shove Anthony Gordon into the striker role.
  • Barnes and Elanga will try to cause problems out wide.
  • Midfield? Bruno Guimarães and Tonali will scrap, but without Isak up front, their finishing edge looks weaker.

Where It’ll Be Won

  • Midfield battle: If we boss it with Mac Allister and Gravenberch, Newcastle will chase shadows.
  • Right-back worries: Whoever covers for Frimpong has to stay sharp—Newcastle will target that side.
  • Darwin’s runs: If Núñez is switched on, he could bully their centre-backs all game.

Prediction (Fan Gut Feeling)

Listen, this won’t be easy. Newcastle at home are a nightmare, and they’ll throw everything at us.

But with our quality up front and that champion mentality, I fancy us to nick it.

Scoreline: Newcastle 4–2 Liverpool. Salah to shut them up with the winner.

Final Word

This isn’t just three points—it’s a message.

Champions walk into tough grounds and still get the job done.
