Arsenal’s summer transfer window just keeps getting better.

After a slow start to the window, Mikel Arteta’s side is now moving full steam ahead — and the latest name set to join the growing list of new arrivals is Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have agreed a deal in principle with the Spanish club and are expected to wrap things up soon. The fee?

Around £13 million upfront, with a few add-ons that could take it closer to £17 million. Not bad for a 19-year-old defender with huge potential.

A Quiet Talent with Big Upside

Mosquera isn’t a flashy name — yet — but he ticks a lot of boxes for what Arsenal are building.

He’s quick, strong, good on the ball, and doesn’t panic under pressure.

Basically, the kind of centre-back you want in a high-line, possession-based team.

He’s not coming in to start right away.

With William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Jakub Kiwior already in the mix, plus Ben White and Jurrien Timber who can fill in, Mosquera’s role will likely be to grow, learn, and step up when needed.

And under Arteta, that kind of development feels possible.

Arsenal Mean Business

This is just one of several big moves Arsenal are making this summer.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, and Christian Norgaard are already through the door.

Noni Madueke looks like he’s next. And a deal for Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly almost done too.

Clearly, Arsenal aren’t just building for the future — they’re preparing for a serious title push.

And it’s not just about new faces.

The club is also working hard behind the scenes to tie down Ethan Nwaneri, the teenage talent everyone’s talking about.

His contract runs out next summer, and Arsenal aren’t taking any chances.

What’s Next?

If all goes to plan, Mosquera should complete his medical this week and become the latest piece in Arteta’s growing puzzle.

He might not be a day-one starter, but in a long season with multiple competitions, depth matters — and Arsenal are building it smart.
