Arsenal’s hopes of lifting their first Premier League trophy in 21 years took another major hit.
A 1-1 draw away at Everton further dimmed their chances, with Liverpool now firmly in control of the title race.
Leandro Trossard’s well-taken goal was quickly cancelled out by Iliman Ndiaye’s penalty, leaving the Gunners 11 points behind Liverpool, who still have a game in hand.
The Reds now need just 11 points from their final eight fixtures to seal a record-equalling 20th English title.

Mikel Arteta had earlier said that victory at Goodison Park would be the perfect warm-up for their upcoming Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
However, his starting lineup suggested otherwise.
Key players including Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Gabriel Martinelli were rested, with Gabriel, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus already sidelined due to injury.
Despite a dominant first half, Arsenal’s finishing woes continued. Trossard’s opener came from a rare Everton counterattack, with Raheem Sterling setting him up after a strong midfield run.
It was Trossard’s first league goal since January.
Arsenal’s inability to convert chances has plagued them all season—even when their top attackers were fit.
Saka and Martinelli came on after the break to inject life into the attack, but within seconds, Everton found an equalizer.
Myles Lewis-Skelly conceded a penalty, and Ndiaye calmly sent David Raya the wrong way after a lengthy VAR delay.
Everton pushed for a winner, with Raya denying Abdoulaye Doucoure’s fierce strike. But in the closing stages, it was Arsenal who pressed hardest.
Odegaard missed a golden chance from Kieran Tierney’s cutback, and Mikel Merino failed to add to his recent scoring streak with a header that went wide.
The result leaves Everton in 14th place, comfortably clear of the drop zone.
For Arsenal, the Premier League dream appears to be slipping away, and all attention now turns to their European ambitions.
