Noni Madueke’s brace sealed Chelsea’s win over Legia Warsaw.

Chelsea put one foot firmly in the semi-finals of the UEFA Conference League with a dominant 3-0 victory over Polish side Legia Warsaw in the first leg of their quarter-final clash.
The night belonged to 19-year-old Tyrique George, who scored his first senior goal for the Blues, setting the tone for a second-half surge that saw Chelsea assert their European credentials.
A Breakthrough Moment for Tyrique George
After a goalless first half at the Stadion Miejski in Warsaw, it was teenager Tyrique George who broke the deadlock just four minutes into the second half.

Reacting quickest to Reece Jamesâ parried shot, George calmly slotted home the rebound to mark a memorable moment in his young career.
Having been at Chelsea since the age of eight, and a regular in this seasonâs European squad, George seized his opportunity on the big stage.
Madueke Doubles Down
Substitute Noni Madueke added a second just eight minutes later, finishing low after fine link-up play with Jadon Sancho. The winger wasnât done yet.
Despite Christopher Nkunku missing a penalty in the 73rd minute, Madueke quickly atoned for the missed opportunity by finishing off another Sancho assist to bag his brace and put Chelsea in cruise control.
Sancho, who provided both assists, was instrumental in energizing Chelseaâs attack, while Madueke’s impact underlined the squad’s depth and attacking prowess.
A Tough Night for Legia, a Statement from Chelsea
Legia Warsaw, backed by a passionate home crowd and an intimidating pre-match tifo depicting a knight slaying a lion, were unable to live up to the intensity.
Though the first half was tightly contested, Chelsea’s quality eventually shone through.
Legia, currently fifth in the Polish league, now face a daunting trip to Stamford Bridge for the return leg.
Goalkeeper Kacper Tobiasz was one of the few bright spots for the hosts, notably saving Nkunku’s penalty, but even his efforts couldnât hold back Chelseaâs second-half storm.
European Ambitions Alive
Chelsea, winners of the Champions League in 2021, are taking the Conference League seriously under manager Enzo Maresca.
Victory in the tournament would secure Europa League qualification for next season, though a top-five Premier League finish could see them back in the Champions League.
The Blues have been ruthless in Europe this season, winning all six group games and scoring freely.
Their path to the final in Wroclaw on May 28 is becoming clearer, especially if they finish the job at home on April 17.
Awaiting in the semi-finals will be either Djurgardens or Rapid Vienna.
For Legia, the dream hangs by a threadâbut for Chelsea, the Conference League title is now within touching distance.
