Chelsea could be lining up another big summer signing, with French striker Hugo Ekitike now on their radar.

After completing deals for João Pedro, Liam Delap, and Mamadou Sarr, the Blues are still hunting for more firepower as they prepare for a return to Champions League football.

According to recent reports, Chelsea are keeping tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt’s Ekitike – a player many fans and journalists are calling the “next Mbappe.”

Despite already signing Pedro, Chelsea seem keen on adding serious competition up front, and Ekitike’s stats from last season suggest he’s got what it takes.

Why Chelsea Want Ekitike

Ekitike had a strong season at Frankfurt, scoring 22 goals and providing 12 assists in 48 games.

That’s a goal involvement every 107 minutes — better than Pedro’s average of one every 125 minutes.

It’s not just about goals. Ekitike also excels at dribbling, taking on defenders, and carrying the ball into dangerous areas — skills that could make him a real threat in the Premier League.

While João Pedro scored 10 goals and set up 7 more in 30 matches last season, Ekitike’s all-around attacking play and pace might make him the better long-term option.

A Pricey But Worthwhile Move?

Ekitike is reportedly valued at £85m, so the deal would not be cheap.

But Chelsea have shown they’re willing to spend big to build a top squad.

If they pull it off, fans could be watching a new star rise at Stamford Bridge — and possibly a forward line that could rival Europe’s best.
