Chelsea star Cole Palmer has assured fans that he will regain his scoring touch soon after another frustrating night in front of goal.

Despite the Blues’ emphatic 4-0 victory over Southampton, Palmer’s goal drought extended to six Premier League matches.

The 22-year-old forward last found the net against Bournemouth on January 14.

Against Southampton, he registered seven shots—three on target—but failed to convert, cutting a frustrated figure throughout the match.

However, Palmer remains optimistic, posting on Instagram:

“Well done lads +3. Don’t worry, I will be back.”

Maresca’s Confidence in Palmer

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca isn’t worried about Palmer’s dip in form, emphasizing that dry spells are part of a footballer’s journey.

“We said from the start we cannot rely on Cole for every game,” Maresca explained post-match. “He has to continue working, stay happy, and keep laughing the way he does. We are completely happy with him. Struggles to score are normal, but he will score many goals again.”

Palmer set exceptionally high standards in his debut season at Stamford Bridge, scoring 25 goals and providing 15 assists across all competitions.

His current season remains impressive with 14 goals and six assists, but his form has dipped since the start of the year.

Looking Ahead

With Chelsea now back in the top four, Palmer will look to break his scoring drought in the upcoming fixtures.

Can he rediscover his finishing touch? Chelsea fans will certainly be hoping so.
