Cole Palmer missed the chance to impress the new England boss, Thomas Tuchel due to injury.

Cole Palmer has been one of Chelsea’s standout performers, impressing with his composure, creativity, and clinical finishing.
However, his place in the England squad under new manager Thomas Tuchel is not guaranteed.
Palmer’s Injury and International Absence
Palmer missed Chelsea’s recent clash against Arsenal due to injury, ruling him out of England’s latest international break.
This meant he couldn’t make an impression on Tuchel, who was managing the Three Lions for the first time.

Tuchel’s debut saw England secure a 2-0 victory over Albania, with notable tactical changes.

While Palmer has primarily played on the right for Chelsea, he thrived under Mauricio Pochettino’s system, which allowed him to cut inside with overlapping support from attacking full-backs.
However, Tuchel’s England setup appears to have a more rigid structure, potentially limiting Palmer’s effectiveness in the national team.
Taking Bellingham’s central role would be a tall order, given his exceptional performances.
If Tuchel continues with his current approach, Palmer may struggle to find a natural position in the squad.
What Has Tuchel Said About Palmer?
Despite concerns about his fit in the system, Tuchel has spoken highly of Palmer’s form.

“He’s definitely on form. I think everyone would agree on that, and hopefully, he can still grow and keep the level up,” Tuchel said.
While Palmer won’t have a chance to impress the new England boss until after the domestic season, he will need to regain his best form at Chelsea to strengthen his case for a key role in the national team.
His future under Tuchel remains uncertain, but his undeniable talent ensures he won’t be overlooked for long.
