Cole Palmer remains committed to Chelsea.

Since his £42.5m move from Manchester City in 2023, Palmer has been a standout performer for Chelsea, scoring 39 goals and providing 21 assists in 74 appearances.

However, despite his impressive form, Chelsea has struggled with inconsistency.

Gallas reassured fans that Palmer isn’t looking for a move anytime soon. Speaking to Slingo, he said:

Chelsea fans don’t need to worry about Cole Palmer this summer. He wants to see if he can win trophies with Chelsea. He would only leave if he thought it was the right time, and that won’t be this summer.

Managing Fatigue and Form

While Palmer remains a key figure under Enzo Maresca, Gallas pointed out that his performances have dipped in recent months.

He believes the 22-year-old could benefit from occasional rest to maintain his sharpness.

It’s been very intense for him. I think he could benefit from being on the bench for a game and coming on in the last 20 minutes. He looks tired and needs to be managed properly.

What’s Next?

Chelsea faces Southampton on February 25 in their next Premier League clash. With Palmer central to Maresca’s plans, fans will be hoping he regains top form as the club pushes for a strong finish this season.
