Jürgen Klopp is reportedly open to negotiating with Real Madrid about taking over as manager starting in July.
Klopp, who stepped away from club management at the end of the 2023/24 season after a decorated spell at Liverpool, is reportedly on Real Madrid’s shortlist to succeed Carlo Ancelotti.
The Spanish club is believed to be planning a change in leadership following a disappointing Champions League exit.
According to Brazilian outlet UOL, Klopp is prepared to negotiate with the La Liga side this summer.

Currently serving as Head of Global Soccer for the Red Bull football group, the German coach appears to be considering a return to frontline management after taking a break from the intense demands of Premier League football.
Real Madrid’s current head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has had two successful spells with the club, collecting numerous titles including multiple Champions Leagues and La Liga trophies.
However, the team’s recent 5-1 aggregate defeat to Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals has intensified speculation over his future.
Madrid also trails Barcelona by four points in the domestic title race, with their next shot at silverware coming in the Copa del Rey final on April 26.
Speaking after the Champions League loss, Ancelotti acknowledged the uncertainty: “It could be this year, next year… when I’m done here, I’ll be grateful to this club.”
Klopp left Liverpool after a transformative nine-year reign during which he won every major trophy available, including the Premier League, Champions League, and both domestic cups.
With his reputation and experience, it’s no surprise that he’s attracting interest from one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Whether Klopp returns to club football in Spain remains to be seen, but the possibility of him taking the helm at the Bernabéu would mark one of the summer’s biggest managerial stories.
