Manchester City’s chairman, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, has announced that the club plans to complete player transfers quickly before the FIFA Club World Cup begins.

A special 10-day transfer window will open on June 1 to allow Premier League teams to sign new players ahead of the tournament.

Manchester City wants to use this time to build a strong team.

“We already know which players we want,” said Al Mubarak. “We’ve listed our top options for each position, and we will move quickly.”

Manchester City’s first match in the Club World Cup is on June 18, where they will face Wydad AC.

The club wants to have their new players ready by then.

Disappointing Season

City had a tough season. They finished third in the Premier League, missing out on the title and only securing a Champions League spot on the last day.

They also lost the FA Cup final to Crystal Palace and ended the year without winning a trophy for the first time since 2017.
