Manchester City is reportedly interested in securing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush as a backup for Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian striker has struggled to match his prolific form from last season, prompting City to explore attacking reinforcements.

According to sources, Frankfurt has set an asking price of around £67m (€80m) for the 25-year-old Egyptian international. However, insiders suggest that a more realistic fee between £42m and £50m (€50m-€60m) could be enough to seal the deal.

Marmoush’s Stellar Season

Marmoush, who is capable of playing across the front three, has been in exceptional form this season.

He has netted 13 Bundesliga goals, second only to Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane. Across all competitions, Marmoush boasts 18 goals, making him one of Europe’s top contributors alongside Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

While no formal negotiations have taken place, Manchester City and Marmoush’s representatives are reportedly optimistic about reaching a favorable agreement.

City Eyeing Brazilian Talent Vitor Reis

In a parallel development, Manchester City is also monitoring 18-year-old Palmeiras defender Vitor Reis. Discussions are still at an early stage, with Palmeiras valuing the promising centre-back between £33.5m and £40m.

Reis, who captained Brazil’s U17 team at the 2023 World Cup, made 22 appearances and scored two goals for Palmeiras last season.

Stay tuned as City continues to take steps to strengthen its squad for future challenges in domestic and European competitions.
