Football isn’t just about watching matches. It’s about talking, arguing, and guessing the scores before the game even starts.
That’s why I’m starting something fun — The Jonaben Challenge!
Table of Contents
What’s the Jonaben Challenge?
Every week, I’ll face one football fan in a score prediction battle.
- You guess the scores for the week’s Premier League matches.
- I do the same.
- We compare points at the end of the week.
Here’s the twist — your points don’t just count for you. They also add to the Fans’ total.
So it’s me vs all the fans for the whole season!

Why This Is Fun
It’s not just another prediction game.
It’s personal. You’re not playing against a computer — you’re playing against me.
And together, all the fans are teaming up to try and beat me over the season.
How to Join
- Each week I’ll pick one fan to face me.
- If you want to skip the line, just message me first and you’ll be next!
- I’ll share your predictions in my weekly article.
If you want, I can also share your photo, name, and what you do — so people can get to know you.
This Week’s Matches
Here are the matches we’re predicting this week:
- Liverpool vs Bournemouth
- Aston Villa vs Newcastle
- Brighton vs Fulham
- Sunderland vs West Ham
- Tottenham vs Burnley
- Wolves vs Man City
- Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
- Nottingham Forest vs Brentford
- Manchester United vs Arsenal
- Leeds vs Everton
Tie-Breaker Rule
If our points are the same at the end of the week, we’ll guess the total number of goals scored in all matches. Closest guess wins.
Fan Spotlight
Every fan who plays will get their own little spotlight in the article:
- Name or nickname (your choice)
- Optional photo
- Optional short bio, website, or social link
- Your boldest prediction for the week
- A short message to me before the games start
The stage is set. The matches are ready.
The big question is… Will the fans beat me this week, or will I?

Key Observations
While looking through Roland’s predictions, two really stood out.
First, he’s calling a 2–2 draw between Liverpool and Bournemouth — not something you see every day, especially with Liverpool’s usual home form.
Then, he’s gone all in with a 3–1 win for Manchester United over Arsenal.
Confident? Definitely. Surprising? Absolutely.
If these come true, Roland’s going to look like a prediction genius. Now, let me drop my own predictions.
Jonaben Predictions
- Liverpool 2-1 Bournemouth
- Aston Villa 2-2 Newcastle
- Brighton 2-1 Fulham
- Sunderland 0-2 West Ham
- Tottenham 2-1 Burnley
- Wolves 1-3 Man City
- Chelsea 3-1 Crystal Palace
- Nottingham Forest 2-1 Brentford
- Manchester United 2-2 Arsenal
- Leeds 0-1 Everton
I predicted Liverpool to edge it at home over Bournemouth, but as for the star match of the gameweek, I don’t see anything other than a 2-2 draw.
Meanwhile, I think in this week’s matches, there’ll be a haul of 40 goals.
How the Scoring System Works
- Exact Score Correct – You get 3 points if your prediction matches the exact final score.
- Correct Result Only – You get 1 point if you guessed the right winner or a draw, but the score is wrong.
- No Match – 0 points.
At the end of the week, we total up the points for me and for the fan.
The fan’s points also get added to the Fans’ overall scoreboard for the season.
